Leadership
Denton is a community leadership-training program where selected participants
attend class sessions once a month for nine months. Every class session
focuses on the Denton community at some level. Participants learn or
become better acquainted with such topics as leadership development,
city government, county government, state government, youth and education,
volunteerism, and economic development. Class members engage in a team-building
Ropes Course and travel to Austin, Texas to learn how the state government
affects this community. Class members also take part in a class project
that is presented to the community at the end of the program.
